So I hadn't heard that much about impulse cosmetics before I ordered from them, I just saw them on my etsy  and looved their products. But since I ordered I've seen loads of other positive stuff about them and now I've got some items, I can see why. They've been closed recenty for a sort out which is why there's been a bit of a wait for this review. I wanted to make sure I had the links when I put the review up. I love the colours they do, they're not colours you tend to find every day and though you can find colours like them, these are definitely the cheapest I've seen.  Plus they're only £4.26 each and Shipping to the uk is £5.26 with 40p for each additional item. It's not too bad.
I'm just hoping they may release some matte lipglosses, because I do love their matte lipsticks but lipgloss is just easier! If not I'll probably get some from Pretty Zombie Cosmetics.

I'll start with the Matte shades first, which I got in Apocaliptic and Melancholy. They have similar packaging but are slightly different lipsticks. They have the same packaging but they each have the name of the lipsick written down the side (which is very handy because then I can find them easily). They look like the same colour stick wise but they're very different. The shape is a bit hard to apply with so I recommend getting a lip brush if you're going to but these shades. A proper lipstick shape would be great but that's probably quite hard to make.
This first colour is Melancholy, it's a really great colour but it's not the best feel on. It's quite difficult to apply because it's a matte shade and that makes it kind of dry. But apart from that it's a really nice lipstick. It's an ideal colour and it looks really great on. Similar to my Topshop lipstick in purple in colour but it's matte and really nice. The best part about this lipstick is that when you eat or drink it doesn't rub off on everything majorly. It comes of a little bit but it's nothing compared to most of my lipsticks.
I'll give this lipstick a 4/5.
This is Apocalyptic. Ahh this colour is amazing! And the texture is perfect too and it's matte and black! I've been meaning to get a black lipstick for a while and I'm soo glad that I waited and got this one because it's ideal. It goes on smooth, feels great on, lasts a while, doesn't come off much and well I really love it. Definitely the best of the lot and I recommend if you only want to get one of the shades of matte then get this one!
This lipstick I'll definitely give a 5/5

I also got one of their metallic shades, It's got a sligly different packaging aesthetically
And this is Boggart. This is just suuch a great colour, I feel like a lizard when I wear it. I don't think it suits me very well but it's just soo pretty. The lipstick itself isnt the best, it's nice and it feels good on but it's quite hard to get even and a  little patchy. The consistency isn't the best and it doesn't stay on too long. But it's such a great colour and like it's not awful quality, it's jsut nt quite perfect. I'll give this one a 3.5/5.

Overall next time a want a new shade I'm definitely going to try Impulse Cosmetics. I mean I really want to ty their eye shadow and see if I like them too. I feel like I need to add another image to the end of this one to complete this but I don't have one. Overall I'd definitely recommend, they're a pretty good price and the best value alternative colour lipsticks I've seen.
Hope this review was helpful! Planning to have an outfit post next, but who knows. Everything is a bit hectic with exams so I might not have many updates until I've got the worst of them out of the way in about a months time.

I've been listening to a lot of music that's less about lyrics, well a lot of it has lyrics but they're not what I mainly love about the song and they're not really great for blog titles. Anamanaguchi, Grimes and recently I've gotten into London Grammar a bit too. Mainly because I've been watching a lot of kexp sets, I like them because you get a couple of songs from the artist and then also a bit of an interview and it balances perfect. I've listened to a few songs from Radio One's live lounge from London Grammar but they're all covers (though their cover or Wrecking Ball is amazing). Anyway I'm blabbing now so I should probably talk about something else.
I took these photos yesterday and I was a lot less wary than usual while taking these photos and two sets of people walked up behind me when I was off guard. I was spinning in one of them and then when an elderly couple came up I was bent over taking photos of my shoes... I looked reaaally odd. Oh well, at least it wasn't someone I knew, the old man gave me some photography suggestions anyway.

Shirt - Missguided// Waistcoat - H&M// Skirt - New Look// Socks and Shoes - Topshop// Bag - Cheap Monday @ Urban Outfitters//
I bought the Jacket in H&M last week and it's just what i've been looking for for a while. I've been making patches for a denim jacket before but I really want to do a black and white back piece for this, maybe take off and rearrange that patches I already have on them. I'm not sure yet, I have too many ideas. However, if any of you guys find any cool back pieces (there are some really great patch shops on etsy) then let me know. I might make my own... there's just too many options!

I tried something different with posing for some of these photos, I really felt like spinning, so I did but getting a spinning picture is harder than it seems... I'm also really loving my nails at the moment. I did a white coat as sort of a base and then added some Barry M sparkly paint over the top. It worked well.
I seemed to have talked (well typed) a lot in this post, which I've been meaning to do more of, I feel like I want to talk to you guys more. Thanks for reading.

This post has nothing to do with snow, I just love Anamanaguchi and that song but it has no lyrics so I just had to use that title. I''m not completely happy with these photos but I'm a bit indecisive at the moment and being perfectionist. At the end of the day every photo I post doesn't have to be absolutely perfect. I was just going to end up sat editing for an extra hour or so to probably not get any further.

I'm liking the pictures the more I look at them, and I love the outfit so the pictures don't matter that much. These pictures were from when i went to see Divergence yesterday (a pretty good film) and I have some other pictures from before that have a bit more editing involved which shoould be up soon.
Sorry I'm not that talkative, my mind seems to be in a different place at the moment. I guess it will be back in reality soon.
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading.

Ok so I couldn't think of a better title, but it kind of works. I've been excited to show you guys these pictures since I took them on Saturday. I was just playing around and they turned out surprisingly well.
Just a warning, that some of these pictures are a little creepy. The images make me look a little dead/trapped under ice so don't look further if you don't think you can handle.
My mum hates the photos because they're creepy and I look dead, my Dad loves them and said he should just give me all of his camera stuff, aha. Guess you can't please everyone right?
Photos taken with my scanner.

I'm actually really pleased at how they turned out, yeah they're kind of creepy but also kind of cool.
I created a portfolio here for my more serious (is that the right word?) photography, it's something I'm interested in so I though why not take it a step forward.

I hope you guys liked these photos and thanks for reading.

So Pretty Little Thing are having a competition to become a VIP Guest blogger and I thought why not enter. I've liked Pretty Little Thing for a while now and they've definitely improved their stocklist and website since I reviewed there products (here) a while ago. My challenge (which I set myself) was to create an outfit entirely from plt things. I was trying to go with something summer, and ultimately something I would really love to wear.
Trust me, it wasn't easy. I saw so many possibilites with what they had on the website but I managed to do this outfit for you guys.
All Items from Pretty Little Thing

So this isn't the best editing I've ever done, but I was in a rush and I still tried to make it more 'me'. The background photo is mine.
I just love the daisy trend this year so thought I'd incorporate them, the shoes and the sunglasses are two things I've been meaning to buy and that jacket is just really cute.

Hope you guys like this outfit, I should have another post up later today but for now thanks for reading.
Stick around for a really exciting post I have, some experimental photography I''ve been doing.
Thanks for reading.

Been so loving Grimes at the moment. I heard Genesis a while ago and I was obsessed, but I hadn't listened to any of her other stuff until recently and it's all beautiful. The title is from Grimes - Vowels = Space and Time. Anyway, I went for a meal for a friend's Birthday yesterday and his is what I wore, I know I posted yesterday and I should space them out but I need to start revising and if I post this tomorrow then I'll procrastinate from revising too much. So it's here, now.
Been playing around a bit with photos this time.

Hat and Jumper - Urban Outfitters// Skirt - New Look// Shoes - Primark//

Pretty pleased with how these photos turned out actually. I'm now off to experiment with taking photos with my scanner (the printer is broken but the scanner still works so I can use it). Trying to get all my creativity out today so that I can knuckle down and work for the next two weeks. It's the easter holidays now though so it's nice to be able to get up late and relax at home instead of going into school. Hope you're having a great week and thanks for reading!

Bit of a random post today, but after a cosmetics haul recently I realised that I'm really getting into purple this Spring. My Autumn colour was very much maroon (or burgundy, whatever you want to call it) and I thought that was just my colour. However, it has transformed into purple this spring so I thought I'd take some pictures and do a post on it because why not.
First is cosmetics, and I'll tell you a little bit about these with some links and stuff (top left to bottom right):
1. L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Midnight Purple - My fave eyeliner is definitely this, I've had the black one for ages and went to restock and saw they had purple, I was amazed. It's only a tint of purple but it's such a nice eye liner. Very easy to conrtol, I do reccomend.//
2. Topshop Nails in Velvet Underground -  I like the Velvet Underground and I like this nail varnish. Dark pruple has always been one of my staple nail polishes and Topshop Nails are pretty good value.//
3. Barry M Limited Edition Dazzle Dust (similar) - Unfortunately they don't sell this product anymore, I bought it aages ago but I find myself using it a lot at the moment (like in my last post) and I highly reccomend the Barry M Dazzle Dust.//
4. Topshop Lipstick in Depth - I did a review on this lipstick here and it is suuch a nice colour. I've been wearing it so much, need to get myself some more dark lipsticks (preferably matte).//
5. Kelly Brook for New look Nails in Lilac (similar) - This came in a pack of 3 pastel shades and I think it was special edition because I can't find it online unfortunately. But this is such a nice colour and I think I'm going to be wearing it quite a lot in future.//

For the rest of this post I've just Taken some macro shots of some of my purple pieces, I've got links to posts I've worn them in too. Macro photography is definitely the type I'm best at, I just love how different things can look when you go really close.
PVC skirt worn here and here
Lilac Skinny belt worn here
Purple ruffled skirt worn here
Vintage blazer, bought recently.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, something a little different again. I should have an outfit post for you next as I'm going out for a friend's birthday tonight and I'm going to go and take photos once I've gotten ready. Which is why I should be off because I have a lot to do!

So as I said, today's post is an outfit post with a twist. I didn't intend to do a post like this but I was editing and I just really didn't like the backdrop. So I used some other pictures I'd taken instead.
These took me sooo long to edit but I like it, they're a little but random and quite weird. I really like that.
All pictures in this post were taken by me.

Shirt and Belt - Missguided// Skirt - Charity Shop// Tights - YesStyle// Sock and Shoes - Topshop//
Rings - Unknown// Awwdore// Born Pretty Store// Born Pretty Store// Vintage// Awwdore//
If you order from Born Pretty Store use the code "ZDT10" for 10% off your entire order.

Some of these pictures are a little messy but as my first proper go at this stuff with this blog. Look me a while, but I'm pretty pleased with these. Need to go out and take more pictures for backgrounds to do more photos like these. I think the blush puff one is my favourite.
Title is from Digital Love - Daft Punk. I am really loving that song at the moment, was listening to a mixutre of Daft Punk and Anamanaguchi when I edited this. Digital love is just so cute D:
Hope you liked this a little bit different outfit post, thanks for reading.

Haven't done a review for you guys in a while, and I've been meaning to post this review for a while too. You've probably noticed I've been wearing this lipstick a lot, it's probably not the best lipstick I own but the colour is just so perfect that I can put up with having to re apply it for the colour.
So first of all can I saw I love Topshop's lipstick packaging, it's such a nice pattern and a really nice texture too. I know that's not what most people look for when looking for a lipstick but for me it's worth a mention.
Ahh it's just such a perfect colour. I think Mac has a similar one but I didn't want to spend £15 on a lipstick with a colour I didn't think I'd like when I could try out a topshop one for £8. I think I'll upgrade to Mac soon though because I wear this colour so much and I am willing to pay £15.
Colour 5/5: This colour is AMAZING. I know purple lipstick isn't for everyone but if you're looking for a goth purple kind of lippy then this is definitely a colour to look for. I just love it so much.
Aplication 4/5: It's a really nice texture, it doesn't really smell of anything, which is good for me (I sometimes can't buy lipsticks because they smell too bad) and feels good when first applied.
Value for Money 3.5/5: I think for £8 I excpect it to be a bit better quality, I mean it's not awful value for money but for me this is more of a £5 or £6 lipstick rather than £8.
Stay Power 2.5/5: It lasts alright, it's just when it starts to come off (and I don't know if it's just this colour) it comes off in parts and what I'm left with is horrible splodges that actually look kind of brown. It makes me look like I've got scabs on my lips when it starts to come off which isn't brilliant.
Overall 3/5: I love the colour and as I said, I do wear this colour a lot because of that. However, I like a lipstick to last and, I like lipsticks that leave a stain rather than splodges when they do start to come off. It's not like an awful lipstick but like I said, I'm going to upgrade to Mac for this colour (probably Cyber or Smoked Purple). But it's good if you want an occasional wear lipstick that''s not too expensive. Like for a party or something.

I kind of apologise for the selfies. It does accurately depict the lip colour but I look sooo weird. I remember trying something different editing these (it was a little while ago) and it didn't really work... So no I don't usually look like this, yes they are quite heavily edited. I'll try something different again next time.
I quite like the second picture, it's just the first one.
I do hope this review is helpful. I should have an outfit post tomorrow with a bit of a twist (stay tuned to see what the twist is).
Would you guys want me to reviews on other products? Like Nail varnishes and eyeliners etc.? I'm not really a beauty blogger but I do enjoy reviewing the odd product, something that's a bit different.
Lemme know what you guys think, I might do Barry M's new Matte nail varnish next.
Thanks for reading :)
