Ok so recently I've been completely obsessed with some Sailor Lolita outfits I've seen and I just think it's really cute. I really want to try some sailor lolita so I thought I'd post some of my inspiration outfits/dresses and other clothes to get started with. Maybe I'll ask for a Sailor Lolita outfit for my Bithday...

I've spoken to a couple of people who aren't that into Sailor Lolita but I hope this will warm your hearts a bit, because I think it's adorable and some of the coords I've seen and AMAZING.

Oh I also found some dividers especially for this post, enjoy!

Coords

Firstly I have some inspirational coords, mainly from Lolitas on tumblr, all of them are credited/linked to the post.

Firstly there's this coord by brizblossom on tumblr. Just everything about it is perfect. I love the dress (of course) but I also think that wig is just to die for and goes perfectly, so yeah.
Perfection in one outfit if you ask me. I also found the picture of the back of this outfit and it made it even more perfect. LOOK AT THE FRILLS! Sorry I just love this.
I think this outfit shows that sailor lolita is interesting, it's not just the same dress/colours and you can do something with it. I think that's why I love this so much, it's inspiring.

Next is this outfit by pixie-late. I think it's cute but realy simple. I think the dress is by metamorphose.
I don't have much else to say about this outfit, just that it's cute and simple.
This coord is by MintyMerry on tumblr which is also quite simple.
I think generally Sailor Lolita is a very simple style, it's not really one people go OTT with but I think you can add a lot of accessories and make it less simple too.
I do love this dress.
This coord is by Blossom-of-Faelivrin on Deviantart. I think this caught my eye because it's just just navy blue and white.
The puffy sleves are really cute and I think you can get similar shoes to those on bodyline c:

Clothing

I think that this skirt would go perfectly with a simple white shirt and ribbon tie. With either a hat or matching bow to add. I just really like this skirt and it's only £19.66.

It's from Taobao so I'm not sure how trusted this brand is but I saw this dress (well technicaly skirt and hood) and actually fell in love. If I ever get round to making my own Lolita clothes I will definitely be making something inspired by this. It's approximately £35.50 so it's not bad. But like I said I'm not sure how trusted this brand/site is. :D

Next is this really cute jumper skirt from Victorian Maiden
It costs approximately £156 so it's not for a budget lolita, but it;s really cute.
This dress also comes in black and a beige/light-brown colour (it's nicer than it sounds).
I just love this, a lot.

Sorry this post isn't that long, I'll find more pictures/items in time and I'll add them then. I'll post on my tumblr when I've updated this. I hope this has inspired you guys to get into Sailor Lolita? Or just appreciate it more? I really hope to get into and make some Sailor Lolita myself some day soon.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
So about two and a half weeks ago (yeah the shipping was pretty fast) I ordered some cosmetics from f2plus1 on ebay. It's a South Korea based store that sells a LOT (and I mean like 150 pages) or Korean cosmetics.

I ordered: It's skin- Baby Face Petit Blusher in Romantic Red; Tony Moly - Petit Bunny Lip Gloss Stick in Juicy Apple and Tony Moly - Petite Bunny Hello Bunny in Momo Fruity. All in all this came to just over £15 (about $23) pretty cheap right? Free shipping too :D. So all in all good price and quick shipping, so now onto the products.

So like I said, ordered two and a half weeks ago (quick shipping) and today reviewed it in a small sturdy box. It was smaller than I thought, but it was big enough for the items. Not much else I can say about that.
I opened the box to find my items wrapped in bubble wrap (which I've since popped) and at the bottom there were some free samples. Very happy Izzy. Now onto the products

Here are all the products packaged. They're honestly adorable.

So the first product is the "It's skin - Baby Face, Petite blush in Romantic Red" I chose this colour because it was the darkest. Bear in mind if ordering on f2plus1  that the colour in the main picture isn't the colour you are buying, check the swatches below. I almost bought "Lavender" which is cool but I didn't really want purple blush then, so just check what you're buying.

So this is what it looks like opened, it looks redder to me in real life than this picture. This is also adroable with a proper powder puff! And the baby face logo in the blush ^__^. This cost me £4.64 with free postage.

So this is the blusher on my hand, I used about 3 dabs?puffs? of blush here and it's not as strong as I thought it would be. Slightly sparky which you can't really see here.

This is it on my face, you can't really see the sparklyness here and although it seems subtle you can definitely see a difference from the with and without. I think it does seem a little stronger in real life and I definitely don't regret buying it. Although the colour fades it stays on for a long time, I've had it on for more than 4 hours now and there's still a good tint to it.
So Overall:
  • Good colour
  • Not too strong, but still noticeable
  • Cute packaging (I mean this deosn't really enhance the product, it's just nice)
  • Colour lasts a long time
  • Well worth buying.
I don't think I'm allergic to this, it's hard to tell. And Tony Moly do 3 other colours of this, one more pink, one more orange and one purple. So if I buy those I shall do a review there.

Next is the Tony Moly Petit Bunny Gloss bar. I got mine in glossy red and the packaging/bar was a lot brighter than I thought it was going to be. If you want to find this one then look for "Juicy Red" or the bear with the wink face (again this product is really cute). This one was £3.81 and I thought this was a bargain seeing as most good lipsticks can cost a good £7

This is the gloss on my hands, as you can see it is quite a bright colour. It came off surprisingly smoothly (kind of like lipstick on a hot day) and it was really nice to put on.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it actually on my lips and these just looked really weird. But I can tell you it's quite vibrant on too, its' not as glossy as it looks in the picture but it does feel nice on. As it says o the advery it's a creamy texture. When you first put it on it will smudge off quite easily but once it starts to dry a bit it sticks and lasts a surprisingly long time. Again, like the blush it starts to fade but the colour has stayed on (though now it's not that noticeable) for about 4 hours.
Overall:
  • Great price
  • Vibrant colour
  • Goes on smoothly
  • Feels nice on
  • Colour lasts a surprisingly long time

Thirdly and finaly I bought the Tony Moly Hello Bunny Perfume Stick in Momo Fruity. It was  £6.43 so the most expensive of the products but I've read other reviews and people say they last along time so it seems worth the money. Plus it's probably the same price as any similar spray you can buy.

So when you open it there's a cap on the bar that sort of pops on and off. I guess it's handy for keeping it fresh and I think I'll keep mine on there until it gets annoying.

So here it is! I'd never heard of any perfume stick before now but it's actually quite handy, you don't have to worry about it leaking in your bag or breaking. Like the Lip Gloss bar it feels really creamy to put on, it feels a bit like moisturiser. Right the smell is probably what you want to hear about. It is quite fruity but also kind of musty (but not like old lady musty) and rather pungent (I can smell it well with a blocked nose). It reminds me a lot of some of the Harajuku Lovers perfumes but it's not asjuicy as that. I like the smell and personally would wear it a lot, it's not as nice as I was expecting it to be but it's certainly not bad.
I read some other reviews and they said that it's strong but fades quite quickly, so I wasn't  expecting it to last long but it has, it fades over time but it's not like you put it on and five minutes later and then it's gone. I think it's a good everyday wear perfume, but nothing fancy. I used it and it used hardly any so I think it will last a long time
Overall:
  • Feels good on, like moisturiser
  • Fruity yet musky smell, quite nice
  • Lasts longer than I expected
  • Looks to last a long time, so good value for money

Oh and as I bought 3 items I got 5 freebies. Some moisturiser and some cleansing foam. Bit disappointing I got four of one product but they were free so I can't complain. I haven't tried these out yet but I may update the review when I do.

*BONUS PICTURE*. I'm very happy with my purchase, f2plus1 (on ebay) is a very good store to buy Korean cosmetics I was surprised at how good the price was (especially free shipping). Thanks for reading and if you have any questions feel free to comment below c:

I've recently been playing with the idea of both becoming Lolita, and making my own clothes. So I thought I would take the opportunity to make a sort of master post of Tutorials to make Lolita (and other such as fairy kei) clothing. I really like the idea of making my own stuff and I think that fabric etc. is a good investment for the future seeing as I'm a cheapskate and Lolita clothing is expensive. I'll probably start off with like bows (which I already make), cuffs and little hair pieces for fairy kei, but I really want to make dresses and Lolita coords. This is like my ultimate dream and one day I WILL gain the courage to wear Lolita  But this is all going a bit far into the future so for now I will just keep updating this post on Lolita patterns and stare lovingly at the clothes I could one day be making.
These aren't all the patterns I've found, just the ones that I like and would like to try, feel free to give links to others in the comments and I'll add them in :)

I'm not sure whether to include pictures, I will for now and then when it gets too many I'll stop. I think I'll arrange it easy to hard (but I'm putting skirts first for some unknown reason)

I did find some posts with reconstructions but not actual tutorials but didn't add these as I'd have no idea what to do, maybe when I'm more advanced I'll make one for inspiration rather than learning.

Skirts

The skirt needs two parts two it for this particular tutorial.

Basic Full elastic Waistband Lolita Skirt Tutorial. Apparently this is like the easiest skirt in the world, the tutorial does look pretty simple too. But I'm new to this so I don't know.
Sew Your Own Skirt. Looks quite straight forward to me.
Extreme Ruffle Skirt Tutorial. Not really that lolita but it's really cute and I love it so thought I'd add it.
Lolita Skirt Tutorial Part: 1 | 2 . This is super easy to follow (as far as I can see)

Blouses/Cardigans

Sailor Lolita Cardigan Tutorial  You will need a cardigan for this, designed for all sewing levels so shouldn't be too difficult.

Dresses

How to sew a Gothic Lolita Dress. Of course you can use different material, doesn't have to be Gothic Lolita. The pattern, however, isn't that basic so you kind of have to know what you're doing for this.
Layered Pink Gingham Dress Tutorial. This is a video, so I find, easier to follow than other tutorials.
Lolita OP tutorial. Tutorial for the whole dress. You do have to know how to sew and make ruffels etc. though I'm sure you can find tutorials for that online too.

Accessories

Beret Tutorial. Also includes instructions on how to customise it to make it sailor Lolita.

Sailor Hat Tutorial. I think this is reallly cute but I'm not really sailor Lolita. I love the style it's just not for me.

Rectangle Bow Tutorial. This is how I make my bows and it's super easy to do, as long as you know how to sew.
Peter Pan Collar Tutorial. Not just used for Lolita and very popular at the moment.
Fluffy Cravat Tutorial. This is really cute especially good for Dandy/Oji (male version of lolita).

Misc.

Elastic Sock Topper Tutorial. I think these are adorable and would work for Cult Party Kei too!

I haven't got any bonnets because I really don't like bonnets, but if you want me to find you some tutorials I'm sure I can try.

This is a bit thin on the ground at the moment, tell me if you've made/found any other tutorials and please let me know if any links are broken c:

Lolita Dress and Accessory Making Tutorials.
