Hey guys, So I went to see the Marina and the Diamonds on Saturday and honestly it was like one of the happiest nights of my life not going to lie. I've ever seen someone I love's music as much so it was a joy. Marina is perfect and her live show was perfect and my pictures don't do it justice; I will telly you for-why though. Big venues don't let you take in cameras with detachable lenses so I had to take my little camera in which doesn't have a very fast lens and therefore I was struggling with low shutter speeds.
But despite the picture quality not being up to my usual standards I wanted to post these anyway, as I see this blog as a documentation of come cool things I've done and also my photography and this is both of them. I want to be able to look back at these photos and remember, and share them with you guys.
This post is a day late I know! But I do have a reason, due to not promoting my last post as much as I usually do my posts and generally not being very active online the past few days it didn;t have many views and much response, and I really wanted people to tell me what they thought about it because it was a new concept, so i kept it the most recent post for an extra day just to see. And I'm v happy to say the comments were positive so I will be doing more posts on that theme.

But I do have a reason, due to not promoting my last post as much as I usually do my posts and generally not being very active online the past few days it didn;t have many views and much response, and I really wanted people to tell me what they thought about it because it was a new concept, so i kept it the most recent post for an extra day just to see. This time of year always starts to get rough for me, the days are shorter and the lack of light start to impact my mental health. But each year I get better at coping and as part of that process try to keep doing positive things with the more frequent self reflection sessions that happen in this head space. I mean it can definitely be a positive and negative thing. This post is one of them, a little deeper than I've ever done before (because I've never really talked about mental health, but I've been meaning to). And also a bit of a 'fuck you' to those parts of me in the back of my mind telling me I'm not enough, you hear me? I am.
So I thought I'd write a post about insecurities, because we all have them, and I think it's better to look at them and say "you know what. you're ok" to try and get along with them and that;s what I'm trying to achieve here. Firstly by recognising what arts of me I don't like so much and then by trying to accept them and move on. So I'm going to list some, talk about why I have an issue and then try and put it to rest; or at least start to. I've used photos already from posts to really show myself (from looking through the photos) how much I avoid my insecurities to work on that in the future.
Though this post is definitely not a complete list of my insecurities, there are a lot I think I'm not willing to admit very openly at the moment. It's more the ones that I see physically in pictures of myself, and after almost 2 and a half years of frequently taking and editing pictures of myself I've gotten more accustomed to what you could call "flaws" and now want to make peace with them I guess. I hope this post has the positive message intended.

Hey hey pretty people! It's finally been sunny, and I am so happy. Though today was grey I have hope that it won't be like that for the next 3 weeks. I mean it could well be but one sunny day is always means for a bit of hope for better weather.
Oh and it was such a beautiful one, the perfect crisp wintery day, with beautiful light all day from the low fun, that turquoise cloudless sky and a slightly biting cold. I went out and cycled around bit to find this spot by the sea to take photos and it was a perfectly chilled out. Pun not intended there. Lets just hope there are more days like this, it's the type of winter I love.

Hey hey hey, how's it going? Another night shoot, this time in a familiar location. I've said before how I light to go back to the same location in different seasons as they tend to look completely different and I guess the same can be said for day and night.
These photos didn't turn out at all like I expected but then again I don't know what I expected. They turned out better anyhow, I initially wasn't sure I like this look but I like it in the photos so it's a strange one really.
The past day has been clear, finally after about 3 weeks I have seen clear skies! It was beautiful, lots of grey weather really does make you appreciate how beautiful the sky is without clouds covering it. I mean clouds are pretty, except when they're just a white or grey mass covering the sky, that isn't so nice. I mean I'm hoping it stays like this for a little while but as I live in Wales there really is no guarantee.

Hey lovelies, this was supposed to be an outfit post but well... it. Won't. Stop. Raining. I mean I know I live in Wales but it's been about 3 weeks now and I haven't seen the sun for more than an hour. I planned to take my next outfit photos in the dark and well that didn't happen because of all this wind and rain! Hopefully I'll be able to get out in the next few days, maybe it'll calm down.
I have been waiting for a chance to use these photos though for a while. As part of my photography course for my final project I'm doing a night photography project and these are some of the test shots/experimentations I've done for it. Some have just been out and about in the dark whereas others were from a night photography ramble as part of Diffusion Festival. I mean I still need to take more pictures for my final project but wanted to share these too because I think they're pretty cool, they were all taken in the pitch black (well with the exception of street lights and such) and some of the colours are pretty cool.

Hi snazzy cats (ok trying a new greeting, not sure that one works) how's it going? Back with a slightly different post one I haven't done in over two years, coloured contact lenses! I haven't actually used coloured contacts since then so this was an experience, but I am going to wear them out this time, last time trying to get them in was too traumatic for me to try again for a while. I like to think I've improved in many ways since my last post (I mean you can see my old lense review here), but you can make your own decisions there.
So yeah lense review, some green lenses, I mean I always wanted green eyes as a kid, from Coloured Lenses UK who were kind enough to send them to me for review. The lenses are from their Freshlook Colourblends collection which has some pretty cool colours in.

Ok so I just listened all the way through Grimes' new album and I'm in love, well I knew I would be but still. it's so chill and quite different to her other albums. Just gutted that I'm in Belize when she's in the Uk (but I'll be in Belize so I can't really complain).
Also the location for these pictures isn't the best. I went here before and it was better but as soon as I got my camera out it pissed down. So I went back and the leaves had gone all mushy and gross from being walked on (it's that lovely time of year).
Buut I did just really want to show you guys this shirt (and get another post out on time). I've wanted something cow print for so long! Mainly because of the irony in the fact I'm allergic to milk but I also love the pattern, and asymmetrical shirts are my favourite. I've honestly worn this very outfit about 4 times in the last week.

And now I don't care anymore

Hey hey pretty people. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, mine has been good but super busy and very rainy. So much rain, so much grey, it's gross and I need it to stop. The other day I went to take photos and the whole half an hour walk down it was grey but rain free. Of course as soon as I got my camera out there was a torrential downpour, so I walked the 10 minutes to my grandparents from there and we had lunch, turned out nice but I  didn't get my pictures unfortunately.
But back to these photos, a little different to usual as they're taken at night, which was a new challenge but I liked that. A good time to take photos with flash at night is around bonfire night because people just think the flashing it fireworks and don't question it. Though I was down a lane that had people walking past and so I did get some strange looks and even some people taking a detour through the lane to see what I was doing. But they turned out quite well I think!
I think the title fits well too because all you want to do in tassel shorts is shake the tassels. well that's all I want to do at least; I don't know about everyone else. Plus I love the song, it has a great message, and a sick beat

Hi hi, back again with something a little different. Last month there was a photography festival, Diffusion,  going on that happens every two years in Cardiff (though I only heard about it last month) and I volunteered there and went to most of the exhibitions. It was a really cool festival and really weird that it was in Cardiff just as I was on my gap year and had the time to spend there. I went to events, talks and volunteered in some of the exhibitions which was cool.
A lot of the exhibitions were held in already existing galleries such as 3rd Floor Gallery or Turner house but others were in buildings such as those along Wood Street which are soon to be knocked down which made for interesting spaces.
So I thought I'd just share some photos and though of some of the exhibitions. The theme was Looking for America which meant there were photographers from both the UK and America, and some other places in the world, involved. I thought I'd taken more photos than I did though, but some exhibitions I have 0 photos of, even my favourite one. Oops, I'll write about them anyway.

Hey pretty party people! I honestly wasn't sure I was going to do an outfit post today as I had to go and do the photos today and well it was gross for photo taking! Yesterday it was grey and foggy but today was just grey... but then I looked at the forecast and it's going to rain for the next week! I guess that's what I get for living in Wales, there we go.
I wanted to get a photo of this jacket once more before I try and turn it into a cap I(and probably just end up destroying it) i rarely wear it because it only looks good on me sat on my shoulders so I thought I'd try making a cape out of it. I'll let you know how that goes.
Also this skirt is so cute! So short too, I was cycling in it earlier and I got some weird looks. Just to clarify though I was wearing shorts underneath (well pj shorts as I couldn't find any other ones, I'm a classy gal. I bought it in a charity shop for like £3 and it fits perfectly it's amaze.
