Yes this is an incredibly soppy post, but I think it needs to be done. Honestly, 2014 has been the happiest year of my life and I feel I've grown as a person more than I could ever have imagined. So this is just a little thank you to 2014 with some things I have achieved and just some stuff that has happened to me. All positive though because who needs to dwell on the little bits of bad that have happened.
Some of this is quite personal and a bit soppy and wordy so feel free to just look at the pretty pictures (well I hope you find them pretty). I don't want it to seem boasty at all, that's not what I'm trying to do here, I'm honestly jsut so grateful for everything that has happened and so happy I've been around for this year to happen.
I started the year not very mentally well at all, underwent a couple of months therapy and honestly I've come out of it more at peace with myself and the world around me than I thought I could be in 2013. I've explored a lot of buddhism, read a lot of books and have just become more emotionally intelligent and aware. And no, not every day is rainbows and sunshine but in a year I've recovered more than I could have dreamed. This time last year I wasn't sure I'd still be alive this time this year but I made it and that's all I can ask for.

I've done a lot a lot of yoga, which i have been practising for a couple of years now but I've improved a lot. I can't do much right not because I injured my hand in the summer and it's not quite right yet, but I still persevere. Yoga doesn't solve everything (which a few people seem to think it does) but it is pretty damn great.
In May I was a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding. She had a lovely day and everything was so beautiful! I've seen a lot more of my whole (very small) family this year which has been lovely. But the day definitely confirmed to me that I don't want a massive wedding, maybe not one at all. Though I do want flowers in my hair again sometime, it was so pretty.

Before the summer even started I got the opportunity (with Headstart) to do a Nucelar Physics course at Manchester University. Four days of physics and new people, sounds good to me, and it was. This photo was taken at the Jodrell Bank radio telescope which is an amazing place. It was such a surreal week but also a very interesting one, some lectures were just on point and others went right over my head but in the end I still wanted to do physics and scarily I've just applied to do Physics with Astrophysics at uni. Wish me luck with that.

My summer holidays were incredibly busy for many reasons, so I didn't get to blog much then but I did get to go to Italy and fall in love with the mountains. The dolomites were beautiful and not on my gap year I definitely have some more mountains I want to visit and take pictures of. I never wanted to leave because everything was kind of surreal.

Also this summer I went to Greenman, which was one of the chillest places I've ever been. The atmosphere was perfect and what's even better is that it's on my 18th Birthday in 2015, what a weekend that is going to be.
I discovered some new music, bought a some clothes and jewellery, danced a lot and saw a band I have loved for such a long time; daughter. It was a perfect weekend but I did need about 3 days in bed to recover, bit of a lightweigh when it comes to lack of sleep.

I've mentioned this among other things but I got to take so many pretty pictures! Including a whole lot of outfit photos. I feel like my photography and editing skills have gone waay up. Though there's still improvements to be made I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to use the stuff I do and take the pictures I do. And since getting a new phone I've been able to post to instagram more which means even mooore pictures. I've gone a bit mad on photogaphy.

Most importantly 2014 has been a year of self expression like I haven't really had. I've blogged lots, started sewing, started painting more, played more piano and I've even sung a little more. I don't think there's that much more I can add to all of that stuff in 2015 but I shall try.

Also last but certainly not least the people, I've remade and strengthened old friendships, made new ones, learned how to talk to people I didn't think I could, talked to people online and more. I'm grateful for every single one of them and all of you, my readers and followers, because you guys do help keep me going on this blog, and help give me opportunities I wouldn't have had otherwise.
I was going to add a picture or two of friends and stuff but I honestly can't find one perfect one. There are too many to add and I think I'll just make this post faceless.
I've probably missed out so many very little but very important things, though if I kept going on and on it would be very over the top. I hope you all have a very good new year and look back on 2014 happily, if not then there's always next year. See you in 2015

Thank you guys and thank you 2014!

Thank you 2014!

Hello guys, how was your Christmas/the last couple of days? I've been longer than I wanted posting because it's a very busy time of year but I do have a couple of posts to like up and try to get back on schedule.
There's not thaat much holographic/iridescent stuff in this outfit but it seemed an appropriate title. I'm just so in love with any shiny things (i.e. holographic or iridescent stuff) and I got all these pieces really recently. My collection is growing and I'm very happy about it. A lot of pictures in this post but I really couple resist the urge to take lots of photos of the holographic stuffs.
Bag and Ring - Topshop// Shoes - New Look// Suspender Shorts - Vintage//
So yeah that was today. I looove holographic things. So shiny, but I don't think I could wear a whole outfit of it (might take that as a challenge though). It kind of looks icy, like it was today. It's not snowing but it's damn cold and I froze taking these photos, I think it turned out well, I'm not dead so it's fine!
Next post might be another of my Lake Garda photsets, might be another ootd, haven't really decided yet but there will be something soon (probably on the 27th if I get my shit together).
Anyway I hope you're all having a lovely holiday and if not then hugs all round from me and I hope they improve.

Ok so the title might not make that much sense. I wanted to call this a slothy Christmas or something (because of my jumper) but I thought people might think I had sloths in this post and get seriously disappointed; and I'd never want to do that. And my "Christmas" outfit is a little alternative which most people see as a humbug sort of thing but I actually do really enjoy Christmas, so I'm saying nah to humbug... yeah,,, that.
Ignoring my lame title, hello. Sorry about the late post, I've been ill recently and the weather hasn't been the best so I haven't had the chance to get out and take or to edit photos. But it's only a day late and I'm actually doing very well in keeping up with my every 3 days thing... not that I've been doing it very long but it's going all right.

Jumper - No Exceptions Made// Suspender leggings - Ebay// Boots - Kerol D//

But my Christmas jumper, amazing right? It has a sloth on it! I was trying to chose between this and a Rudolph lama but the lama one was very very red which I don't wear often so I feel I made the right choice. Of course being me I couldn't just have a bog standard Christmas jumper.
When I was out taking these photos the wind was crazy, and a nice breeze to get your hair all wooshy is sometimes nice... no this was crazy, my eyes started watering like craazy at one point and I'm very impressed with the face I managed to get these pictures; though a few went hilariously wrong. Due to a few going very wrong I had to work on the editing a little differently than usually which actually turned out great, gotta turn things around sometimes. Wow, I get really cheesy sometimes.
Anyways I'm hoping your Christmas time so far is going well, I should have a post or two before Christmas day but it's safe to say I'm excited, all the eating and sleeping and stuff I can do; exciting stuff.

As promised, I have a photoshop tutorial for you guys today! It's on how to get two of you in one photo, or more than one of the same object in one photo or whatever you want to call it. Basically how to make images like the one above.

Now I recommend (as that is how I've written the tutorial) that you take your photos with a tripod set up. So set up the overall background, take pictures with you at one side, then the other, without moving the camera. As this makes it a lot easier to edit your photos, especially if you're a beginner to this. Once you've tried doing it this way with a couple of photos it is pretty easy to see how you'd do it with other photos anyway (and if you have any questions about that then feel free to comment or email me).

The rest of the tutorial (as it is a bit long) is under a read more so if you're on the main page of my blog then click to see the rest

Hello Lovely people, how are your weekends going? I've been listening to a loot of disco recently, mainly the Neo Disco playlist on Spotify, it's a great walking to or from anywhere and just generally feel good. The title is from Baby I'm Yours by Breakbot and it's seriously a great tuune. It doesn't really go with the outfit but I don't suppose that matters.
My aim for this autumn/winter is to get to grips with lighting and I think these photos are a step in the right direction (though i definitely still need  to get used to using my polarising filters too). I saw this spot when I was out taking these outfit photo and thought how the light fit it and how autumnal it looked with all the leaves and when i wore this outfit I was like "yeah let's do this!". As usual, the photos didn't turn out quite how I'd planned but I like them anyhow.

I'm actually starting to get ill which is rather annoying, hopefully I'll be able to go out and take pictures tomorrow because then I can keep up with the whole posts every 3 days thing (which I am rather impressed I'm keeping up with). At least I have Christmas to eat loads and loads of food and sleep and recover though. I finished my Christmas shopping today which I am very happy about and now I can just relax on that front. Though I still have lots I want to do over Christmas,I never seem to stop; though I can't complain because I'm happiest when I'm busy.
I never know what to burble about on blog posts so I'm just gonna stop now and hope you have a good weekend, I'll be posting again on Tuesday and it'll be a photoshop tutorial on how to make photos like the last on I have in this post (exciting stuff). It's up at 8pm GMT so if you're interested check that out!

Hello lovely people, how's your Wednesday going? The title is my own take of Taylor Swift's Shake it Off (which I love); but slouchy because of my very comfy slouchy jumper.
These photos were actually quite spontaneous. I decided to go for a walk and take my camera, I was going to go charity shopping but halfway there I decided to go charity shopping instead. The editing was also spontaneous, I had a bit of an editing block the first time I came round to these pictures and then I looked at them again and went "why not try sticking those pictures together" and "ooh I could add me from that one in the middle" and then I had my first picture! After that is pretty easy because you have the idea of what style you're going for and just have to fit the rest of your editing around that.
I always thought this jumper was way too unflattering to wear as a dress, but when I wore it out the other day I just thought "Well fuck it" and it was the best decision ever because I love it like that. Lessons learned.

It was a really strange day when I took these photos though, it was one of those really quiet and eerie  winter/autumn Sunday afternoons. I don't know if anyone else ever experiences these, but there was barely anyone out and everything just seemed a little strange. The quiet is always nice for taking pictures though because you don't get people gawking at you. And the wintery/autumness is great because there's nice orange leaves everywhere and while the light lasts is beautifully golden.
I always ramble about such random stuff when I post stuff, I usually have an idea of what I want to sy when I take my photos and then it disappears, so I just say whatever comes to my brain when I schedule my posts and it's all a bit weird.
Aaanyways enough of the even more rambling I'm off now, next post should be up on Saturday at 8pm (GMT) so stay tuned for that. Hope you enjoyed this post!

These photos were actually taken a couple of weeks ago, you can tell because I actually had my coat off and wasn't freezing. Saying that the whether is up and down a bit, some days it's t shirt weather and other days it's three layers of fluff (well for me anyway because I am a lover of all things fluffy).
I wasn't too pleased with the pictures from this post, I have to admit, there was an annoying stream of light (which is why most of the photos are landscape) and people kept trying to watch me; which is very disconcerting. But I think I managed quite well with saving them on photoshop, my editing skills are definitely on the up.
You will be seeing a lot more of this coat in looks to come though, it is amaaazing, super fluffy and super warm (and it only cost me £22.50). And the top which you can wear over pretty much anything. And the harness; though I had a lot of difficulty trying to get it on at first.

Coat and Boots - Primark// Harness Twlight Siren// Lace top - Urban Outfitters//
I've actually finally gotten to putting a post schedule together which is exciting stuff. It's every 3 days at 8pm GMT and I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up with that (at the moment I have photos for the next 12 days lined up). I'm also hoping to do some other stuff with my blog, not just outfit posts. I'm going to do a few photoshop tutorials, which I mentioned in my last post, and some more of my general photography. Might also do some DIY if I get round to any, depends what happens.
It's scary to think it's only 3 weeks until the end of 2014, this year has been pretty great to me and I've come a long way since January; it's probably been the happiest year of my life and though it's sad it's nearly over I can't wait to see what 2015 brings.
Enough of the random soppiness though, I'm off to edit some more photos. Hope you enjoyed this post, the next one should be along on Wednesday at 8pm GMT so stay tuned

Ok so the title of this isn't entierly accurate, a lot of these photos were taken in the Dolomites (which is close to Lake Garda) and no all of them are Landscapes; just thought I'd clarify.
I'm just sharing my first set of photos from my trip to Italy in the summer, which was amazing. A bit late, but better late than never I suppose. I find it more aesthetically pleasing if I put the photos that fit together best first so here I've just put the greeny landscape ones; the rest will come eventually.
I've put links to all of these photos on my flickr if you're interested, it says a little bit about the photos on there but I honestly have no idea what to write about my photos so there isn't that much.

 1// 2// 3// 4// 5// 6//
It took me a while to find a layout and the pictures I wanted for this but I'm quite pleased at how it's turned out. The top four pictures were taken in the Dolomites; which is absolutely stunning and started my love of mountains. The bottom two are from the botanical garden in Gardone which is also stunning; there's such a range of styles in the gardens. I have quite a lot of macro shots from there.
I guess this is a bit of a break from fashion posts, I will post more because I have a lot of others and I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I'm also planning to do a couple of photoshop tutorials sometime soon so stay tuned for that. And if there's anything you've seen in my photos that you want to know how to do then let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I hope you enjoyed this post, I shall have an outfit post up in a couple of days for you guys. Thanks for reading!

I've put links to all of these photos on my flickr if you're interested, it says a little bit about the photos on there but I honestly have no idea what to write about my photos so there isn't that much.

Hello lovely people! Hope you've all had a good week, I know mine has been pretty decent and I've actually been quite productive, somehow.
Very pleased with how some of these photos turned out. I was wandering around these church grounds for a while looking for a place to shoot where I haven't shot before and then I saw these three silver Birch trees (I think that's what they are anyway) and thought they looked perfect. Quite witchy vibes from this, though it's a reasonably simple outfit.
Though next time I really have to watch my step for dog poo in the grass because I had a lot of very near misses...
The title is London Grammar, been listening to quite a lot of them recently. Though I've actually been listening to Nick Mulvey's First Mind album waaay too much; it's very good to study to.
Sheer Crop - Sparkle & Fade @ Urban Outfitters// Skirt - Miss Selfridge// Boots - Kerol D//

Also, I got a new theme! I finally realised how messy my old one was so I bought one, I think it's pretty cute. It took me longer to post this because I wanted to get my theme and set it up before this post so it looked extra nice and I could be even more pleased with it. And I am. Thank you for reading. Have a good weekend!
