Ok Lame title I know, but it's because I think I'm finally starting to merge into my own style. Though it's not incredibly individual, it feels like me. And today marks the start of that I suppose. I really just chucked this outfit on went 'oh will that go? Ah that looks good' and I always think those are the best outfits. The always seem to turn out better than the ones you spend a day trying to find the right accessory for or you plan before hand. Frustrating but true.

Anyway I actually really like what I wore today and the photos don't do it justice. We didn't take many because I was really tired and we wanted to go back to Tom's (where I played Guild Wars 2 while he played GTA IV and then we watched Aladin).
And now like blogposts almost 4 days in a row?! crazy stuff but this one wasn't planned either. I'll take a break tomorrow I promise.

Collar - New Look // Jumper - Zara // Skirt - Charity Shop (originally H&M) // Socks - Topshop// Shoes - Prettylittlething.com// Bag - Primark //

I guess this outfit also made me realise how good I am at finding bargains too (or being a cheapskate...) because all in all it cost me £33.50. Like seriously not even joking.

Rundown:
Collar - £2.50 Sale // Jumper - £6 Sale// Skirt - £6 Charity Shop// Socks - £2// Shoes - £8 Sale// Bag - £9

I also had a lot of fun shooting/editing this, I've wanted to do one of those oh so popular mirror photos for a while, and of course the standing on the points of the creepers (though that hurt a lot).

So what do you guys think of my new found style? Is it even mine? Who knows. But feel free to leave your comments below, I appreciate them a lot c:

Posts 3 days in a row? I know. I wasn't planning on that art post yesterday though I just sort of posted it. And I've been at home doing nothing for like a week so I thought I'd put my time to some good use before I have to go to school.

But yeah, I saw the advert for this website on TV and I was like 'Hmm. I'll check that out' and I was glad I did; I guess it's very similar to Missguided. It's pretty cheap clothes and I bought everything I got in the sale, so even cheaper! (Can you tell I'm a cheapskate yet?).

I ordered four items and I think the total was £40. With orders over £35 at the moment you get free next day delivery, which is great. So i ordered them on Monday -which was a bank holiday and after 7pm- so they got here Wednesday. No problems with anything.

They all came individually wrapped with nothing damadged or broken. The shoes boxes were a little bashed up but that's no problem.
Overall shipping is deffo 5/5. No problems, quick and free.

Oh and I ordered this, this, and this. I did order a choker too but I think it's sold out.

I'll put the rest of this under a read more because it's quite a long review and not everyone will be interested, so click below for the full review ->

Ok so I had a couple of comments on my last 'art of' post saying people really liked it so I thought I'd do another one. Another Japanese artist but I'm a fan of Japanese art I guess, and what I find is what I find (I find most of these artists on pixiv and that is mainly Japanese artists) so I'll try something different next time?

This art is slightly different to the last two though, less of the futuristic digital art paintings. More of the soft watercolours in stunning detail. I always love panting in watercolour and it's probably one of the mediums I'd class myself as ok at but I never really got how to do it like this. With detail and a range of tones, I admire her work for so many reasons.

I found it really hard to narrow it down to a few photos but they all seem to have such raw emotion in them so that's what I'll focus on. And I tried to pick a range to look at. You may think what I'm saying is complete bull but hey ho

So as you can see here, there's just such depth in the tone, and though she's only using a couple of colours here you it actually works to the advantage of the art. A stern face but soft eyes with a deep emptiness inside of them, the rest of the painting kind of reflects this with minor detail and colour added. Im just so in love with this image.

This one is more noisy, with a few more colours and the background seems to be taking over the rest of the page. It kind of seems like the subject is trapped, looking innocent and vulnerable against the mess closing in. Almost a helpless look on their face. I love the way Tae paints the details on the face, the light and shade with subtle dots of light making it look not quite true to life.

I'm pretty sure a lot of this is digital art as you can;t get colours and patterns like that from watercolour. But I'm completely in love with this, it's abstract but you can tell the bakdrop is an autumny scene, flowers or turning leaves. Again, very strong emotion on the subjects face with some kind of deep sadness that seems to come out in all of Tae's works. Well not quite the same emotion but it's definitely not happiness.

This is one of the mos detailed in colour and features, not as white washed as the other images. But this adds to the overall effect I suppose. At a first glance you could mistake this for a happier picture, all the colours and upturned expression. But as per all the paintings, the eyes give it away. This is almost a look of complete and utter madness and loss of control, that works with the colours and backdrop perfectly. I especially love the hair in this picture, I find it hard enough to paint natural coloured hair, let alone pink hair.

I guess this painting completely contrasts with the past picture. It's completely white washed with limited colours. And the subjects' face seems tired, done, not at all like the eyes of insanity of the last one. The redness of the eyes and face make it look like she's been crying and it's subtle but powerful emotion here. Just giving up.

Sorry if all of my comments have bummed you out a bit here. Didn't mean them too just sharing my view. If you agree or completely disagree feel free to leave your thoughts below in the comments. I love hearing other people's view on art such as this.
And you can check out more of Tae's art and other things on these:

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been being as lazy as possible in the run up to school next week and have barely done ANYTHING. And I'm going to do the Marrakech photo diary in chunks, like a day a week possibly because that takes up a lot of time and I don't have that much motivation to do it. Anyway I'm finaly back with an outfit! I could not decide what to wear yesterday so I slung this on and I'm still not sure whether I like it but hey, it's new and it's an outfit so outfit post!

These photos were taken by Tom (he's getting better at his photographing).
Yeah I thought that just the top and skirt was boring and messy so I added the shirt and belt. And my new schol shoes, that I actually like for once...
Shirt - M&S // T Shirt - Ross Noble's Mindblender Tour // Belt - DIY // Skirt - Topshop // Bag - Ollie & Nic // Socks - Topshop // Shoes - Red @ Brantanno //

We took these pictures pretty quickly before the train got there so I'm surprised there were actually a few good ones, I love the one with my shoes. I think the more I look at this look the more I like it. The second one is a bit weird but I think it works.

I also did my make-up to correspond but it doesn't really show up on the picture. I'm going more autumny because I'm so ready for autumn, cosy sweaters and tights and eeep. But that means school too *sad face* and because I've chosen 3 of the hardest A Levels and want to give it my all I don't know how much I'll be updating this blog. But I will deffo try my best to update at least once or twice a week. But that's next Tuesday and I should have an update or two before then.

So until then, see ya c:

So last week you may have noticed I wasn't updating at all and that's because I was in Marrakech. I think I mentioned a couple of times I was planning to do a photo diary and I think I'm going to do it for the next 7 days (if I remember) so it's all together. But there's way to much to talk about to do in one post so I'm doing a day at a time (though I may group together day 5&6).

I have to say it was definitely an experience, and I'll be talking a lot in these posts. Mainly because it's a bit of a different culture over there and there are lots of things to talk about. Anyway, on with the post....

Ok so a bit of a random start, I didn't really have any other photos from the airport because my memory card was messing up and I had to buy a new one. Basically don't buy this, the gyoza are alright but there's like loads of really shitty vegetables in it. It's pretty cheap (cheaper than anywhere else at gatwick) but not very tasty.

Zoom zoom. We left a bit late because the plane was delayed coming in from wherever it was before. But they pack like eveything at once and it's very efficient. I'm not sure where it is in the second picture, but the third is over spain somewhere. It's really hard to differentiate what things are when you're this high up. I spend most of my plane journey looking out of the window.

It's a box of crisps. I was amazed, they weren't that great but they're good if you like 'proper' crisps. The box was really fancy too it had like bits so you could fold it open more. Seriously though, a box of crisps?

There are quite a few pictures so I'm putting a read-more here, click for the rest of the post.

So this is going to be sort of more of a photo diary post (it's not going well so far I'll try harder in future) and I think I'll do more of these (I'm planning to do one for my week in Marrakesh) because it's fun and I think it would be nice to document important parts of my life.

So yesterday me and Tom went to Yo!Sushi for lunch to celebrate our two year anniversary (it isn't actually until Friday but he's at bloodstock so we did stuff early). Hence why this is called time is a funny thing. Two years, it's seriously weird, I mean it feels that long but at the same time it doesn't it's confusing. We're doing presents and stuff on my Birthday though because he gets back from Hong Kong the day before and he wants to see what he can get from there, which I'm super excited about. Anyway this should be about the day yesterday not about presents (though presents are exciting).

First we have train selfies! I mean usually Tom refuses to partake in selfies but as this was a special so he agreed reluctantly. Yes we are incapable of doing cute couple photos and most (bar like two) of the photos we have together and really derpy.

I only have a couple of pictures of food for a couple of reasons.Firstly I was too shy to take my camera out and ended up taking photos on Tom's iphone which didn't really turn out very well. Secondly we got carried away eating and forgot to take photos. Next time I will take more photos and stop being shy etc. but for now this is all we have
Firtstly there is Crispy Duck Futomaki. This wasn't that nice actually, the duck was just crispy (and didn't taste like duck) and all I could taste was seaweed, but I'm not really a huge fan of sushi so that makes sense.

Vegetable Yaki Soba, this was good but a little sickening and Wagamama's Yaki Soba is definitely better.

And the final picture is Dora Yaki, the reason I went to YO! Sushi in the first place. I ate two plates of these and they made me really ill (milk intolerance sucks) but it was worth it... mmmm.

We had a lot more food than this but I wasn't able to photograph it. the Shrimp Tempura and Chicken Katsu were both amazing and Duck Gyoza is to die for. I also discovered that I don't like Mochi, to me it doesn't taste of much at all and it feels like I have a slug in my mouth, I was pretty dissapointed actually.

So we did a little bit of shopping because I needed another skirt for Marrakesh and we had some time to kill, it was raining though so we couldn't take proper outfit shots and the changing room in New Look was the best I could get.
Circlet thing - Gift // The Cure T shirt- Amazon (gift) // Skirt - Charity Shop (originaly from H&M)// Socks - Topshop// Shoes - Schuh// Bag- Primark//

I really wanted to wear this circlet thing because Tom got it for me last year and I haven't found a chance to wear it. I will be buying more green stuff though and hopefully wearing it to my sisters wedding (so maybe you'll see it more in the future).
I'm not sure what my hair is doing but I really like this picture.

Anyway, sorry this wasn't that brilliant a picture diary post, I'll look some up and improve on them in the future. But I enjoyed writing this so I will definitely do more.
I'll probably only have like one more post before I go and come back from Marrakesh so sorry for deserting you guys but I'll make sure to do more when I get back.
Until next time :x

In this post there aren't many pictures and I apologise they're not that great as we took them in Tom's garden in a rush. I experimented with the editing and tried to save them that way but you can still see the outfit and that's what matters ;D

I also have a bitchface, tried something different as I kept smiling and it didn't look right so I tried to look bad... didn't work ;L

Cropped Hooded Jumper - Earth Ragz @ Urban Outfitters // Shorts - Bitching & Junkfood @ Urban Oufitters // Socks - Topshop // Creepers - Bronx @ Schuh (old) //

I'm in love with this hoodie it's super comfy and it's cropped so I can wear it with outfits like these and say with a pair of jeans. For only £5 I think I did pretty well...

Ok so the first two went alright and the last just wasn't behaving, my editing skills are definitely improving though.
Oh and here is the song in the title, I've been listening to Pretty Girls Make Graves a lot the past couple of days as I bought another one of their albums a couple of days ago:

Don't really have much else to say on this, hope you enjoyed. I'm going away to Marrakesh for a week on Saturday so I may not have many updates before/during that time. I'm planning to do a photo diary which I will post daily when I get back though so watch out for that.
Until then c:

So this is my second artist feature, you can view my first here. This didn't get too many views but I really enjoyed doing it so I'm hoping more people will enjoy them in the future. Plus I found this artist and just had to share.
I'm not sure if they have any other sites but you can view their pixiv here.

Again the futuristic out of this world style with a big hint of surreal. You can get a glimpse here of the art work I really love and I guess a lot of what I feature in the future will be similar.

First off is this beautiful piece. As you can see the style is more clean than Zain's work and has a more pixel feel. This is just so odd and surreal that I don't quite know what to say about it. But I love it none the less.
The signs say ''Adults'' and ''Children'' (according to google translate my Japanese isn't that good) so again, not sure what's going on.
I really like the style of this piece. From the texture of her skirt to the imperfect peacock feathers. It's simple but not, and again very odd (that's not a bad thing).

This is awesome, the bold colours and precise patterns. I'm guessing it represents the Tokyo underground but there must be something else as well? It's pretty cool none the less and everything just fits together so well. If I tried something like this it would be a mess but this is all just perfect.

I notice that this artist uses a lot of girls in school uniforms for their pieces, it kind of works though for the bored or interested, inquisitive look. Plus a lot of people outside Japan (including myself) envy the Japanese school uniform.
I just love the patterns in this, it seems a bit wacky but as you look closer you see the girl in the picture is some kind of psychic bending spoons and making things float, looking extremely bored by it all. These photos all just make you wonder.

This is actually one of my favourites. It's so simple. I love おどり's use of patterns (like the scarf) and the way the sheets of rain blend into the umbrella not getting a thing on the girl under it (if only real umbrellas were like this). It makes me feel cosy sat indoors, especially as it's raining as I write this.

I feel myself babbling a lot here, I want to show my love of these pieces but I don't really know what to say or the right words to use. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this art feature and I hope to bring you more in the future.
I won't have a post up tomorrow, but I should have a new outfit post up on Saturday (from a party tomorrow) so stay tuned for that, and also I'd like to say hi to my new folloers c:. Until next time :)
